Únete a un taller de teñido con añil en Suchitoto y vive una de las tradiciones más emblemáticas de El Salvador.

En Arte Añil aprenderás sobre la fascinante historia del añil, el tinte azul natural que ha formado parte de la cultura salvadoreña durante siglos. A través de una experiencia práctica e interactiva, descubrirás técnicas tradicionales de teñido y crearás tu propia pieza textil teñida con añil para llevar a casa.

NO SE PERMITE TRAER PRENDAS U OBJETOS PERSONALES PARA TEÑIR DURANTE EL TALLER, YA QUE EL PROCESO, LOS MATERIALES Y EL TIEMPO ESTAN CALCULADOS PARA LA PIEZA DE TEXTIL PROPORCIONADA POR ARTE AÑIL

Experiencia del Taller

Durante el taller, los participantes disfrutarán de:

Una introducción a la historia y la importancia cultural del añil en El Salvador.
La inspiradora historia de Arte Añil, su taller y su boutique.
Una explicación de los procesos y técnicas tradicionales de teñido con añil.
Una demostración en vivo de una técnica de teñido de nivel semiavanzado.
Una actividad práctica guiada en la que cada participante creará su propia pieza textil teñida con añil.

Duración: 1 hora

Horarios disponibles: Todos los días a las 10:00 a.m. y 3:00 p.m.

Idiomas: Los talleres se imparten en español e inglés.

Incluye:

Todos los materiales necesarios para el teñido.
Guantes de protección.
Delantal para utilizar durante la actividad.
Una pieza textil para teñir y llevar a casa ( DOS OPCIONES DE PRENDAS EN EL TALLER CON PRECIOS DIFERENTES PARA CADA UNO)

Indigo Dye Workshops

Discover the Magic of Indigo at Arte Añil

Join a one-hour indigo dyeing workshop in Suchitoto and experience one of El Salvador's most treasured traditions.

At Arte Añil, you will learn about the fascinating history of indigo, the natural blue dye that has been part of Salvadoran culture for centuries. Through a hands-on experience, you will discover traditional dyeing techniques and create your own unique indigo textile to take home.

IMPORTANT:

PLEASE NOTE THAT PARTICIPANTS MAY NOT BRING PERSONAL CLOTHING OR OTHER PERSONAL ITEMS TO DYE DURING THE WORKSHOP. THE WORKSHOP PROCESSS, MATERIALS, AND TIME ARE CAREFULLY PLANNED FOR THE TEXTILE PIECE PROVIDED BY ARTE AÑIL

Workshop Experience

During the workshop, participants will enjoy:

An introduction to the history and cultural importance of indigo in El Salvador.
The inspiring story behind Arte Añil, its workshop, and boutique.
An explanation of traditional indigo dyeing processes and techniques.
A live demonstration of a semi-advanced dyeing technique.
A guided hands-on activity where each participant creates their own indigo-dyed textile piece.

Workshops are offered in both English and Spanish.
